Petrushka

Tiago Alexandre Fonseca, as the title character, impressed both with facial expressions evoking Expressionist silent films and daring moves such as looping his ankle in a rope and hanging upside

– Rebecca Schmid, in Classical Voice America

Yet it was the tireless performance of Tiago Alexandre Fonseca in the title role which gave the staging its humanity. With an expressive face and a physical prowess that would have kept him employed during the silent film era, Mr Fonseca delivered a tour de force of rope climbing, trampolining and running through nightmare worlds, all while conveying the high emotional stakes of his attempted escape.

Fonesca has the rustic sleight-of-hand of Charlie Chaplin with the added bonus of actually looking like a young Stravinsky.

Chapéus na Rua – Lisbon Busking Festival

The concept behind the festival is closely related to the practice of busking or performing in public places where attendance is free. It aims to reach out to the community by offering a series of shows that may take the form of improvised poetry, living statues, juggling, acrobatics, clowns, puppetry, mime, dance, theatre, performance art and music, open to all audiences, regardless of their social status, culture, age or gender.

Illuminations

Illuminations part of the Aldeburgh Festival 2016

Charlote Valori inBachtrack

Mattress Circus

It’s the journey of three clown acrobats falling, fighting and laughing while reaching for new heights.T he show is set behind and around a mattress. They use their physical differences to create comedy and surreal images of illusion.
In the show, the three characters play against each other using acrobatics and clowning until the final moment of unity created by the stunning image of a three man high. The show lasts for approximately 20 minutes.

In the streets Mattress Circus are outrageous clowns.
The three characters play with old and young to create the perfect environment to perform the street version of Heights.
